Fukagawa Susaki from “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo,” 1857. His 120-sheet “One Hundred Views of Edo,” printed between 1856 and 1858, is the largest ukiyo-e series ever executed. It contains many celebrated images, sometimes distinguished by his surreal and eye-catching device of placing an outsized element in the foreground.
